A little plot bunny too sweet for me to shoo away, filling wondertwinc’s prompt: “Dr. Rush is Belle’s first.” I don’t know how this became such a minefield of feelings, but it probably didn’t help that I re-watched ‘Human’ before attempting it.
Dr Nicholas Rush was not a patient man. He was especially not known for being patient when he was put in a situation outwith his control, and his single reason for being there had been stolen away by a fierce-looking blonde woman with a sword.
The quiet whoosh of the door sounded behind him and he stilled, more than ready to give Greer a piece of his mind.
———- come back down ———-
Rush was slow to wake, the familiar feel of fingers brushing against the back of his scalp was calming as they ran through his hair. He kept his eyes closed as he made a quiet sound of pleasure, something low that escaped from the back of his throat as the fingers curled at the base of his skull before starting all over again. The soft chuckle, so warm and familiar reached his ears, wrapping around his heart and he smiled against the sheets.
So, RumBelleRush. It’s a thing. In my brain. This is Fyre’s fault, with Descent. Rumpel and Rush and Belle. Threats to be turned into a snail. Snark, my god, the snark. Belle would repeatedly make statements like, “Don’t make me come in there and separate you two!” Rush would make a deal with…
Fandom should be for fun. Why are we so intent on trolling and being hateful to other people? If you don’t like it, avoid it. Don’t go out of your way to tell someone else they’re wrong for liking something.
QUIT THE HATE, PEOPLE, PLEASE.
…I need more love on my dash…
(Get in your own little corner of fandom, give something a cuddle, and be happy. Here’s a fluffy gif to get you started.)
Fic: Descent (1/?) Summary: When an Ascended Ancient interferes in the affairs of the Destiny, Nicholas Rush has a major complication on his hands. Rating: PG13, so far, for swears. Notes: So. Rushbelle. I HATE YOU ALL. You gave me an older science version of me to write. No, really. I am as bitter, and angry, and snarky, and Scottish as Rush. Why did you feel it was a good idea to introduce us?
After her husband sacrifices himself to break the curse, a widowed Belle struggles to pick up the pieces of her life and move forward, this time with someone new. (Rumbelle/ Rushbelle)
“His last words were about you,” her forty-two year old stepson tells her helplessly on the day the curse breaks. “He said, ‘Tell Belle’…”
She waits for the rest of it for a moment, then realizes there isn’t any more. Tell Belle. She knows Bae desperately wants to make something up to complete the thought but doesn’t quite dare. He assumes his father died mid-sentence. Belle knows there was never anything else to the message. Tell Belle. He’d leave it to her to fill in the blank for herself with everything he was never good at saying but she could hear as plainly as a shout. That he loved her. That he needed her. That he was so sorry for everything he’d done. That she was his world, and if one of them had to go, he was glad it was him. Tell Belle.
She doesn’t go back to the Enchanted Forest. Bae has Emma and his son; he doesn’t need her. She cannot face the Dark Castle again, not alone. Instead she stays in Storybrooke and tries to find the strength to start over for the fifth time in her life. She cries for hours the day she wakes up to discover the lovebite he left on her neck the morning the curse broke has healed, leaving not a mark. She cannot stay in that house.
Title: Neighbours Fandom: Stargate Universe/Once Upon a Time WCount: 4,830 Pairing: RushBelle Rating: FR15 Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate Universe, Once Upon a Time or any of their characters, or their settings - all belongs to the lovely folks at SyFy and ABC. Summary: They are neighbours, initially. But that soon changes into something more.
Inspired by this epic piece of artwork here, this is what I’ve been working on this week. This is set over the course of season one, and there are vague spoilers up until the beginning of season two. But, anyway, hope you enjoy!
Nick doesn’t like it when Belle isn’t in his lab. He really doesn’t like it when he catches her with Brody, and lately it seems like that’s all he does. Prompt from Wondertwinc: Rush catches Belle in a compromising position.
Belle French was a damned nuisance. She was constantly in his lab, bringing him coffee- or at least a reasonable simulation of it- making certain that he ate and occasionally slept, and organizing the things that he tore through so he could find them later. When she wasn’t checking up on him, she was curled in the corner, reading silently to herself. She was always there.
Because she was always there, there was no reason he constantly had to look for her, yet he did. It had become part of his routine. Every six minutes, he glanced away from the computer to take a sip of coffee and look at Belle. It was distracting. She was distracting.
This has only been roughly edited, but I wanted you guys to have it, so if you find any mistakes, just try to ignore them.
“What happened?” TJ hurried over to Lieutenant Scott and Master Sergeant Greer who held an unconscious Dr. Rush between them.
“He was stung by some kind of bee.” Scott shifted the doctor’s weight as TJ tilted his neck to the side, examining the wound.
“Well, it doesn’t look like the stinger’s in there and it’s not oozing puss or turning green or anything. Was he the only one stung?” The Lieutenant nodded as TJ took Rush’s pulse and checked for a fever. “Are you sure something’s wrong? Aside from the wound he seems perfectly normal.”
Scott and Greer shared a look. “Oh yeah, we’re sure,” Greer said. “He started laughing.”
